In October 1881 the first issue of "Il Naturalista Siciliano - Journal of Natural Sciences”, saw the light by the will of Enrico Ragusa, young Palermitan, who in Frankfurt was able to get close to some students of the natural sciences. He understood the need to have a Sicilian scientific journal, where convey the results of its own studies and those of many fellow countrymen who, at that time, carried out their research on the island. So he gave birth to this scientific publication. Between 1881 and 1948 a total of 32 volumes of "Il Naturalista Siciliano" were produced. Over 600 contributions were published, almost half of which of entomological subject. After a break up to 1977, a group of Sicilian naturalists refounded in Palermo the "Sicilian Society of Natural Sciences" and resumed the publication of the Journal up to today.

On the website you can see the complete index of Il Naturalista Siciliano and download the PDF of the articles published since 1977.
